Founding Partner of Solar Filmworks and Strongbow Pictures, Julian Adams came to filmmaking in an unorthodox way. Born and raised in South Carolina and southern Africa, Julian received a Masters degree in Architecture while pursuing filmmaking. Acting in independent films led to the genesis of Solar Filmworks’s maiden project, “The Last Confederate.” As producer, writer and lead actor (playing his great-great grandfather Robert Adams) Julian and his father, Weston Adams, brought this true story of their family to the screen.
